Global South Forum is a platform dedicated to exploring and analyzing the interconnected histories, ideas, and challenges of the Global South—encompassing East Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and South and Central Asia. As regions united by shared struggles and aspirations, the Global South plays a crucial role in shaping global thought, politics, and culture.
We are a collective of scholars, writers, and thinkers committed to amplifying the narratives and intellectual contributions of the Global South. By engaging with topics such as international relations, politics and society, thinkers, history, business and economics, and literary and arts, we aim to foster deeper understanding, challenge dominant paradigms, and encourage collaboration across borders.
At Global South Forum, we believe in the power of knowledge, dialogue, and reflection to uncover the ideas and networks that shape our shared world. This platform serves as a hub for sharing insights, critiquing perspectives, and celebrating the diversity and richness of the Global South.
The Global South Forum is produced and edited by the East-West Research Institute at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the London School of Economics (LSE) Global South Unit.
