[Depok, Indonesia] - On 12–13 November 2025, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia, through its Faculty of Social Sciences, collaborated with the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency (BSKLN) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to host the annual KEMLU flagship event: the 7th World Indonesianists Congress (WIC).
Carrying the theme “Reviving Bandung Spirit: Boosting South-South Cooperation Toward a More Prosperous and Stable World Order,” this year’s congress sought to reaffirm the relevance of the Bandung principles in addressing today’s global challenges. The forum highlighted the importance of solidarity, mutual respect, and strategic collaboration among countries of the Global South in navigating an increasingly complex international landscape.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, who underscored Indonesia’s continued commitment to strengthening South-South cooperation and fostering constructive global partnerships.
The congress brought together distinguished scholars, policymakers, and practitioners from various countries, who shared diverse perspectives and engaged in dynamic discussions on pressing regional and global issues. Through insightful panels and thought-provoking exchanges, the 7th WIC served as an important platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the advancement of knowledge on Indonesia and its role in shaping a more inclusive and stable world order.
